The Orient Inn offers weekend Culinary Workshops. Enhance your stay by joining with a group of friends, as a couple, or on your own and develop your culinary skills while preparing a multi-course meal using the East End's freshest local ingredients.
The culinary experience begins with a welcoming supper prepared by the Inn's staff Friday evening when guests will be introduced to the menu and recipes for Saturday's class and dinner. Saturday morning, after breakfast, we'll get cooking! We'll break at lunch and guests will enjoy the afternoon on their own. We'll regroup to put the final touches on our dinner and then dine together when finished.
The workshops will feature multi-course Classical French menus prepared under the guidance of Chef/innkeeper Joan Turturro, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute's Classic Culinary Arts Program. Classes can accommodate up to 8 students and will require a 4-student minimum. Advanced reservations are required. View a sample menu of what you can expect to create.
